Infopark is the first innovational and technologic park of East-Central Europe, it is primarily a progressive center for representatives of information technology, telecommunications and software development, where along with young and growing businesses one will find headquarters of companies such as the international Lufthansa Systems, Magyar Telekom, IT-Services Hungary and the National Innovation Office (NIH). The headquarters of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) are located in building “E”. There was almost 100 000 m2 of office space constructed in the office park by 2009, which created high-level office and work environments for about 7 000 employees. The Infopark is of a campus style with consistently designed brick covered buildings with modern services. The office buildings that were constructed as a development of IVG received numerous real estate prizes, for example building C received CIJ’s “Best office building development of 2005” prize and Ingatlan és Befektetés’ (a real estate magazine) “The real estate project of 2005” prize. Building D received CIJ’s “Best office building development of 2007” and the “Budapest’s Architectural Benchmark Prize 2007” (Budapest Építészeti Nívódíja 2007) in the year it was handed over. Building E is the first realized building in Hungary to receive the LEED Silver rating.
